Where is the moon?

It was a clear night and the moon was shinning bright. We were in the car and because the moon was so high in the sky and since it was out my and ellie's windows, Josh, on the other side of the car, couldn't see it.
Josh - "Why is it out your window mom?"

Mom - "Because that is where God put it."

Josh - "Why did God put it there?

Mom - "I don't know, you'll have to ask him."

J - "Where is God?"

M - "Where IS God?"

J - "In my heart." pause while thinking... "God, Why did you put the moon out mommies window?" pause for response... "Oh, because you love her? Oh, ok. Mom, God put the moon out your window because he loves you."

M - tear rolls down my cheek.

Joy in the Lord

A joyful heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17: 22

Baseball season is NOT over

Just when you thought baseball season is over, or almost over, or just over for your team...think again!
Josh has been obsessed with playing baseball and as sad as it is, he was using a foam stuffed basketball and a piece to his train track to play! We couldn't find his bat in the storage center. So we decided we could get one on sale since it was the end of the season, and after much searching, nana and papa got him this really cool espn ball dispenser thing. He plays in the garage because he has such a hard swing it goes flying! You'll see here that he needed targets because he was getting bored just using the door.
Papa is trying to save his life. I am happy to report that no one was hurt during the taking of THIS (and only this) picture.
Since Josh got one, ellie needed one so she wouldn't get jealous.
This was so funny when Josh corrected dad by telling him whose garage door was whose!

T-shirt Quilt

In my free time, I have been making this wonderful quilt for myself! It's such a great memory from my two wonderful years in Hickory at St. Als! I love to snuggle with it!

So many people have loved it that I am taking orders for handmade tshirt quilts!
Do you have a lot of tshirts and would like one?
They make great gifts for graduation from high school or college!
feel free to email me at jen_stickle@yahoo.com for details about how you can have your own personal tshirt quilt.

acutal size of this quilt is 74 x 48 inches

"Sun Sort"

Ok, so this is the benefit of the vanities coming in at the house across the street! Also, it's supose to rain a lot this week and this should help keep us entertained in the garage. But, most importantly, it is "F" week at school and for those of you who have hung out with josh lately, his F's come out sounding like "S"!!
"Slip Slops" (flip flops) is my favorite!! So, wouldn't you know that josh gets to be the line leader this week! He gets to lead the line around the school, bring and set out snack and be the special helper during circle time! and he can't say his F's!! so, we built a "fun fort" and talked about it all day tuesday to help! We took "fish" and "fruit punch" just to practice for his big day!! We'll let you know how it went later...if i get any details out of him!!
by the way, the fort does have a garage, family room and bedroom for josh. if you would like a tour, feel free to call and make an appointment to stop by. : )

EUP Homecoming

It's homecoming weekend here in Edinboro and we're visiting for the weekend. Josh and Ellie loved the parade this morning! Ellie was dancing to the bands. Josh figured out to go after the candy about halfway through the parade! The little girl that sat behind him was sharing when they would "hand you" the candy. There was no throwing candy allowed. Weird.
The zem zem cars are gone too and it's just not the same. But the day was beautiful...perfect parade weather!
