Saturday was such a beautiful day! It had rained all week in the Charlotte area, including Greensboro. Saturday however, was wonderful! The sky was blue and the temperature was perfect!
Josh was sleeping when we got to the church and it took a while for him to wake up! But, he soon got excited, especially when ms lee played catch with him and the pillow!

Lauren and the other girls looked so beautiful!

Lauren and the other girls looked so beautiful! The walk down the aisle was long! The church is based after the Duke chapel and it was so long and beautiful! Josh and the girls made it all the way down.
They were so brave! So, they were suppose to go past the communion rail, up three steps and to the left standing next to the maid of honor. Well, they got past the communion rail, and rather than going up the three steps, headed to the left, along the communion rail. They were just hanging out on it, but no one seemed to notice as the bride started her walk down the aisle! I was crying watching Joe watch Lauren, his bride approach him.

They were just hanging out on it, but no one seemed to notice as the bride started her walk down the aisle! I was crying watching Joe watch Lauren, his bride approach him.So, back to the kids...
In the time that Lauren was coming down the aisle and shortly after that, while everyone was eyes on Joe and Lauren, Josh's boutinere fell off. After everyone sat down, Josh could see his dad on the end of the pew (we were in the third row) and figured he could help. So, off he went. "Josh, I can fix this later." said Adam.
"No daddy, now."
So, Adam put his boutinere back on him and Josh walked right back up to stand with the girls! Too cute! Then, when the father of the bride came off the aisle, the kids came with him to sit down where their candy was waiting!
They were great during the wedding! During the wedding Josh kept asking if Joe and Lauren were getting married and "how are they getting married?" I told him that the pastor was marring them and josh replied with "he is a good marrier." It was cute. Then, at one point, Joe surprised Lauren and sang during the Our Father. So, he stepped aside to the microphone to sing leaving Lauren standing in the middle alone. Josh said, "mommy, how will miss Lauren get married?" I assured him that Joe would come back and stand next to Lauren and stay with her forever. He was so worried for ms Lauren!
And then followed Joe and Lauren back up the aisle after the wedding!
The reception was lovely! Being in the courtyard was so romantic feeling!
So, we taught Ellie to say "Joe" before we left for the wedding and it came out much like "go." It was so precious and I couldn't wait for Joe to hear her. Well, we started at the tux shop and she did not want to say it. By Friday night, at the rehersal she would do it for other people (Lauren) but not for Joe. Well, as we were saying goodbye to Joe and Lauren at the reception, I asked Ellie out of the blue "Can you say Joe?"
and she said "go!" Joe grinned from ear to ear and I was so happy!
What a beautiful day that we were so blessed to be a part of!
